Visitors

A few weeks ago my Mom, Wendy, Katie, and lil' Macey came to visit. We had a blast with all day shopping trips and discovering a Shade Clothing store 20 min. away. We also found many treasures at a nearby D.I. We had lots of fun, good food, & great company. We miss them so much already.

That same weekend Riley, Destry, and Hinder stopped by on there way to a wedding. We were so happy to see them for a few hours. I can't get enough of this kid he is so cute.

Maddie will be 1 year old on Saturday! So weird to have a toddler now.
Jon has been working for an electric company temporarily. We're hoping that they will choose to hire him on because he's learning a ton from this company (he actually claims he learned more from them in the last 3 weeks then the last 2 years with his previous company).

Conference, Toys, & Friends

Maddie where are you? Oh yes in the dirty bathroom again.
Please don't mind her bedroom, I'm hoping for a dresser one day that she won't be able to pull out the drawers and dump them on the floor.

Jon taking notes during conference, oops wrong picture.
New toys!!! I payed a $1 each, so happy.
Solemn faces. Liz is almost 10 months older.
New sippy cup, seems to like it ok.
SNOW! And so it begins...I hate driving on snow.

Bakerella

Actually this isn't a post about the Bakerella blog, I've just felt like I've been baking like a crazy woman lately. So below I'm posting a few pictures of the delicious cinnamon apple pie carmel apples I made. Pretty simple I first discovered them at my sisterinlaw's enrichment activity except their ingredients were expensive mine were not. I ran out of white chocolate so I used semi-sweet chocolate chips...I think I would have preferred milk chocolate. So like I said apple, carmel, white chocolate, cinnamon & sugar so simple. The tricky part was getting it all to stay on there.
Back to why the blog is titled Bakerella lately I made zuccinni bars w/ cinnamon cream cheese frosting, pumpkin bars w/ chocolate chips, gourmet carmel apples, apple crisp, pear/apple crisp, no bake cookies, and peanut butter bars w/ chocolate frosting. If you would like any of these receipes let me know. Don't worry these weren't all in the same week, more like month. Thanks goes out to mom for grounding me from TV and computer when I got detention in 5th grade & 6th, which channeled my energy towards baking. Thanks also to my neighbors for supplying me with apples, pear apples, zuccinni, etc.
I just broke my laptop screen, aw crap. Next time we'll get a desk top so we don't abuse it so much.

Fall

The day Maddie conquered the stairs, while Dad was behind to assist.

This was also the day that Maddie decided to climb up half way while Jon and I were both occupied both thinking the other was watching Maddie. I was sitting in the office and I heard something fall. I turned around in my chair trying to figure out what it was when I realized it was her. I screamed (the most frightening scream I've ever produced) as I watched Maddie cartwheel down the last 4 steps, just like a rag doll being thrown down stairs. Jon heard the scream outside and came running in. She has a few bumps and bruises but thankfully no breaks. These stairs are SO hard and steep. I walked into my apartment and I saw my big clock had fallen to the ground. She must have nailed the wall half way down. Poor baby, she must be doing ok because she tried to climb up there again today looking for her best bud Liz.
Maddie's BFF Liz, playing in Kelly's entertainment center. We're happy to have such fun neighbors.

Catching Up

Maddie loves to help with dishes.

What do think she's found?

Yes, she unrolled most of the roll today.

Thanks for the idea neighbor Kelly. My hook was a fabulous find at a garage sale for .50 cents.

Polka dots, these stickers come off the wall so I can reuse them when we have to move.
My "M" is crooked I haven't gotten around to fixing it.
The crib has become a play pen. Once we lay her down she starts to giggle and tries to stand up and bounce.

Interview tomorrow :)

Jon just called me the US Bank manager of a branch in store in Ogden called him and wants to hold an interview tomorrow. He told Jon that he could see that Jon didn't have alot of sales experience but was impressed with Jon's cover letter. YAY!!! Thank you to all the teachers that taught me how to write cover letters and resumes. You know I totally do all that kind of stuff for Jon. Please say your prayers and cross your fingers, we've been WAITING for this call. I'll keep you posted, even if this doesn't work out it feels so good to know my cover letter is solid.
