If I Had Money, I'd Tell You What I'd Do

I'd go down the road and buy a car load or two, crazy about Black Friday.

It's so funny because I've never had an interest in BF until this year. This is probably due to the fact that I live a block away from the store I'd like to raid on BF and I'm into saving money lately. BUT we don't have money this year to buy all that I want so this post is dedicated to all that I'm wishing for or I guess wanting.

Okay so the snuggie is on Jon's wish list this Christmas, so I thought it only appropriate to list it. What's on your list this Black Friday?
Or do you think I'm crazy for attempting to sit out in the parking lot at the crack of dawn?

Just Call Me Betty

I just made my first meatloaf, ha ha I don't know why I feel like this is such a feat. I guess since I'm on the topic of cooking I should also write about Jon's cooking experience. For the first time in A LONG time I came home from the gym and Jon had made dinner. Not just macaroni but he sliced potatoes and sauted them with onions in butter on the stove. He also made some grilled chicken. He made up his own little recipe. I was astounded really, and then realized he must have seen something like this on Rachel Ray. He's become a Rachel Ray watcher while taking care of Maddie in the morning while I'm working. So funny. Maddie has been walking around like crazy and I love it. She'll even try to run and then falls shortly after, but I can not wait. No more holding or carrying, halelujah! Today was the first Sunday in a long time where both Jon and I were able to stay for the whole sacrament meeting. She was pretty good through it too.

Winter time

Winter is here and I'm happy to have so many hats for Maddie, it covers her bald head :) She refuses to wear headbands and her hair isn't thick enough for ponytails yet so this is as close to femine as we get. I forgot to post Maddie's 12 mo. stats she weighed 20lbs, 27 inches, and was in the 70th percentile for her head. I haven't been posting because we've been sick and I guess that means I've been lazy. Maddie and I are swine flu survivors (opposed to fighters). Thank heavens thats all over it only took two weeks.
Jon has been looking into law enforcement we're hoping something works out soon. I'm getting ready for Black Friday, silly I know since we don't really have any money but there are a few items I really want and a few I need (like a vacuum). Maybe I'll pick up a camera too since ours is dying and our laptop. Probably not, but there are too many things to list. Melissa Hahn made this gorgeous hat, she sells them at a craft show probably somewhere in WA so you'll have to ask her about it if your interested.

Halloween

Maddie loves Halloween and candy, she did get sick of the zebra head. I walked around with her trick or treating. It was the best Halloween we've had since we've been married. We started at our ward trunk or treat then made it over to my sister-in-law's mother-in-laws ward and did some more trunk or treating. Then we went door to door in some nice neighborhoods nearby. Then we watched the movie ghost, so cheesy but lots of fun.

I didn't get any other pictures but I dressed up in camo and put leaves & twigs in my hair and smuged brown eyeliner on my face. Jon dressed as a BYU football player complete with jersey, pads, and the white pants. A few kids at our trunk or treat wanted to tackel him.
