4 Months really?

Well this week Maddie had her 4 mo. appt she was really 4 months and a week old but anyway she weighed in at 14.1 lbs and 25 inches. Holy COW, its nuts. She is a pretty long girl. No wonder her shoulders are poking out of her pajamas. She still has yet to roll over, but she does like to watch us eat food. She was trying really hard this morning to roll from her stomach to her back, probably because she hates tummy time but she almost had it. That will be exciting to see. She hated her shots but behaved pretty well the rest of the day. We've been apartment searching and it well just sucks. We lost 3 different places to live in one week. If we don't find somewhere to live by the end of the month we'll be homeless. Yeah no pressure. I will be relieved when it is all over. I guess I'm too picky for the price I want. We were sick pretty much all this last week and seem to be finally getting over it, kinda. I guess thats all thats really been going on. Oh and Jon has been playing church basketball and seems to enjoy it, last year our ward was regional champs. And he bought a pistol that I encourage him to sell for twice as much as he bought it for, it sold in two hours holy cow. Everyone is buying guns, before Obama raises amo prices. Crazies.

Oh brother...

I love this picture. She was so excited after we took it she grabbed the stem and put in her mouth. Wish I would have got a picture of that.

My valentines present along with a sewing kit and a.....Brother Sewing Machine! Wow, I know happy Valentines day to me! Jon did good. Now I need to learn how to sew.

Maddie's rose with mine. Yes that is my kitchen aide I do use it, I even made banana bread and it was goooood.

Tiny TV I know, I was trying to take a picture of her standing on my lap.

She loves to smile, like this. Almost like she's shy.

Flower made by my good friend Heidi.

A good picture of her long lashes! If you look close enough.

The only reason I took this was to show you her "fuzz" its similar to hair.

For Your Entertainment...

Just some updates, Maddie loves her bouncy chair and the Golds gym swing. She does ok in her own swing but the one at Golds gym is quite snazy & it's got a rotating mobile that she loves to stare at. It's so funny at the end of the night to go into the nursery and see 3 babies swinging in unison. I'll trying to get a picture of it sometime.

Our latest story to tell happened the other day. I woke up at 4:30 as usual and her Maddie softly crying. I walked into the dark bathroom (yes she was still sleeping in her carseat in her bathroom) and decided I had to use the restroom so I started in that direction stepping on her blanket (not unusual she likes to kick off her blankets) and then there was a strange moan. I stopped in my tracks and looked down. In the dark I realized she was laying on the bathroom floor! Somehow she wiggled out of the carseat, and landed perpendicular to the carseat. I freaked, I had almost stepped on her and I didn't know how long she had been laying there. That morning I checked her for bruises, she was good. But needless to say she has slept in her crib since. And she's been so good in her crib, why hadn't I thought this would work before. I just elevate her in the boppy.

She's been such a chatter box lately and she's learned how to growl. Its so funny and now she screams randomly. That's a little embarassing when all the little old ladies in your ward want to hold her and she screams at them. Oh well.

Besides that we're all mostly well Jon had a cold and Maddie has had a runny nose all day. But I guess it could be worse, her second round of shots are coming up. Jon was playing football for a semi pro team, however last weekend his best friend popped his ankle out of place and tore some tendons. Jon had to drive him to the ER, and they told him he'd have to have surgery. That night we decided maybe it'd be better if he played when we had insurance and things were a little steadier financialy.

We're All Smiles :)

This replica is in the church museum, amazing it always seem so small. *Please note it is actually 2 feet shorter than the real thing. Maddie slept almost the whole time, it was awesome.

This isn't a smile, but I love when she wears her little bear suit. I just imagine her crying "I can't put my arms down (Ralphie)".

Darn the bad lighting, I really like this picture. This dress was the christmas gift from Gma W.

I can't believe she's no longer a tiny baby, now more like a little girl.

Aunt Hoda, we had lots of fun with my family visiting. Jody actually tried to hold Madelyn this visit.

She loved her aunts and Gparents, there were lots of smiles. Must have been all the attention.

I think she was getting tired of all the pictures, but she loved Katie. Katie is a 10 yr old in a sassy 16 yr old's body.

I like her smile in this. My hair was in a half pony, its not really that short.

Here's one of the goofy smiles.

This was actually one of the first smiles. Its just been awhile since I posted pictures.

Blowout!

This happened alittle while ago, but I remember thinking "what is this"?

And then thinking "Oh NO".

And then thinking "ewwwww", just thought I would share. I hope this isn't too inappropriate.

Maddie's 2 mo. appt.

I forgot that I hadn't mentioned Maddie's growth! We went for her 2 mo. appt. the day before Christmas Eve. I took Jon to hold her while she got her shots. She was a brave soul and only cried just a little she got 3 different shots in the thighs. The nurse was a different but much nicer assistant thank goodness, my ped.'s regular nurse or MA or whatever is a beast. I dislike her very much. If my ped. wasn't so nice I'd change. I still might now with a different insurance situation. Wow so anyway I'll get to the point, Madelyn weighed 10 lbs 7 oz! My ped. came in and said "what are you feeding this girl?" I laughed and said "cream I think". Anyway Madelyn jumped from 4th percentile (at birth), to 6th percentile (2 weeks), to finally....42nd percentile (2 mo.). Whoo hoo! She is such a joy, I love picking her up now when she wakes up because she'll usually smile really goofy at me after I smother her with kisses. Her eyelashs have finally filled out nicely and I love when people compliment them. And her "hot lips" as a male coworker called them. What can I say she's starting to look like me, bah ha ha just kidding she's pretty well mixed. We love her and as soon as our computer is up and running I'll post some cute smiley pictures. Her latest thing is cooing all the time, I wonder what she wants to say. Till next time :)

Home For The Holidays...

This Christmas we were not able to make it up to Washington. Darn the insane snowfall that week! That was my first Christmas away from home, and it was hard. I missed my family and just being at home. We missed all you up in Washington and hope you had a good holiday season. We got your packages that were very generous and made me cry. Thank you all! We were however able to spend time with Jon's sisters and brother's family. It's always fun to get together with them. We even went to a Heslop family party, my first time meeting Jon's uncles and aunts on that side. It was nice to have somewhere to go when we were stuck in Utah, thank goodness for in-laws. Our laptop cord has given up the ghost and I will try to repair it soon so I can post pictures, I hate using the apartment's computers. Happy holidays to everyone sorry we didn't get around to making holiday greeting cards. But we enjoy yours :)
