So yesterday my mom started asking me how I spelt Maddie? I said M-a-d-d-i-e and she was like "what?", then proceded to tell me that I can't nickname her that because it had two Ds. I didn't know there was a rule. Then she started suggesting alternative spelling and Jon spoke telling me how he would have spelt it. So here's my question and I'm looking for feedback. How would you spell it?

I was thinking Maddie...but now I don't know...
I think my first instinct would probably be Maddie, but I like any of them.
Two d's? I have never heard that, interesting... Back when we didn't know what we were going to have, Maddie was on the list, and thats how we spelled it. I didn't know two d's wasn't good... good luck!
I would spell it, maddie.... although, i spelt alta's middle name.. madalyn....
