I've been thinking today about how much I've been blessed. With such wonderful family, friends, employers, and neighbors. I should have posted this awhile ago. I have a new coworker that's expecting in October this will be her 2nd child, however her first child passed away at birth. If you read my blog I want you to read this, because I want to help as much as I can. However we are kind of in limbo right now hoping Jon's emloyer will get another job lined up because they are supposed to be finishing their current job this month so we don't have much to spare. Anyway I've added her son's website to my list "Branson's Page", you should read it I know it will touch you as it has everyone that has read it. If you too want to help please see the following:

Oh...Baby

Maddie is 8 months old has 6 teeth, 2 more on top are coming through. She tries to eat everything but after today I realized she's still not ready for teething bisqcuits, she bites them in half and tries to swallow them. She LOVES being outside, if she's crying all I have to do is open the door to get her to stop. Funny huh. We took her to the local aquatic center and she thought she'd died and gone to heaven. She loved the water, she sat in it then fell in it, was splashed lots, and never cried. She loved the noise, water, all the kids running around, and the sun. After 3 1/2 hours she crashed in Jon's arms. I'm kicking myself for not taking my camera but I took one with Vance's camera of her asleep in Jon's arms. If we doing anymore fun activities I'll bring the camera and snap some. I wanted to try to edit the last picture so that was my attempt. One day I'll get out her cute dresses and take some pictures outside.

Happy 4th of July

I didn't take too many pictures unfortunately even though I had my camera with me the whole weekend. Let me just break down the weekend. July 3rd, Friday we went to SLC and saw Parker Roylance come out of the temple with his new bride Kelsie. It was fun to see family and get to chat for alittle while. We walked around temple square and Jon gave some contacts to the missionaries. We went to Happy Sumo which we have been hoping to try for quite some time. It was pretty good, I thought it was over priced since normally we pay $4 less per sushi roll. But the rolls were good and the atmosphere was nice. We then ran over to the Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory and got some delicious treats which ended up being too rich for me to finish Jon was happy to help. Amazing how weaning your body off sugar makes you realize how sugary things are. Anyway we had our neighbors over for some quick steaks and corn on the cob. Then on the 4th Jon put up flags at 6 am with the young men. Jon came back and asked if wanted to go get breakfast at the Farr West park. We went and had pancakes, eggs, and ham steaks. I forgot how much I enjoy a good pancake. Then we watched a little parade and saw our neices Oakley & Maggie on a preschool float, funny girls. Then we had to run home because Maddie had peed all over my pants. Ran home gave her a bath and then her & Jon took a nap while I did my lock checks in the facility. We were going to get navajo tacos but they had quit serving them by the time we got out there. So we went to Jumbo Burger, I was skeptical but enjoyed a chicken cordon bleu sandwich. Then we visited with Jon's dad and wife, and decided to get some greek food that they were serving out at this park. Ate some kabobs and yummy buttery pita bread. Jon ran into a family from his mission. I should have gotten a picture with them but they invited us to their home, they were a hilarious couple. The danish lady told me she had gained 20 lbs from eating pizza and hamburger. I just laughed. She also said she was designer, and that she made blessing and baptismal dresses. I told her she'd have to show me. Anyway that was about all of our weekend. Full of food and fun. We've gotten plane tickets to go home at the end of July and I won't lie I'm counting down the days.

Taking the Plunge...
I did it. I decided to get a personal trainer. Today was my first day and it was crazy. My body was so sweaty and weak. It will be good to be strong again and build up my knee. Its been giving me problems lately. I decided this awhile ago because I am still in contract for Golds Gym and I try to go often I just don't really know what to do at the gym when I'm there. Now I have a much better idea and he's making me food journal. This stuff is so interesting to me. My trainer has been Mr. Utah TWICE, he's over 50 yrs old, and has trained the last two Miss Utahs. I'm posting a picture of him so you can laugh. He's a really nice soft spoken guy though, maybe a little rough on the language. I found out today that he has a son on a mission from his first marriage and his second wife passed away from cancer a year ago. He said young girls my age change fast, I told him he's got his work cut out for him, but I'm excited to see what happens. He's got me hooked on whey protien shakes. Anyone that wants any tips for the gym let me know or eating healthy, I'll try to share my knowledge through this expirence.
Meet Ted my 50 some year old trainer...

JUNE 8th 2009

Sad I guess Jon and I didn't take a picture together, but this is what we did on our anniversary. We worked, were parents, and thankfully we were able to go out for dinner at one of our favorite Sushi restaurants Windys Sukiyaki (thanks Wendy for the gift cert.). Maddie's teething now has 4 teeth. She's so whinny, don't get me wrong I love her to death I'm just waiting for all these teeth to come in. It was a good night though and we did go to dinner at a fun restaurant on Saturday. To Jon, thanks for putting up with me the last two, three years I guess. I love you and am grateful to have married my best friend. Oh yeah thanks for helping make such a cute baby.
